Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, is a master of structure, responsibility and working hard over time to achieve goals. Wisdom around what’s really happening and how long things will really take are way up Capricorn’s alley. Systems of faith, though often flawed, tend to hold some pearls of truth and love at their core. Whatever your beliefs, this Jupiter accompanied eclipse offers a moment to hear Spirit in the quiet of the night and through the hallways of antiquity.

This eclipse opens the gates to a potent period of time. What’s known as eclipse season, the time between the new moon eclipse and the full moon eclipse (solar and lunar respectively), tends to be a charged and unusual stretch.

Eclipses darken our sources of light drawing our attention to what is normally hidden from sight. While nothing is black and white or categorically good or bad, eclipses are not famous for bringing good fortune. That being said, this Capricorn moon, soon after it covers the sun, will come together with Jupiter in a conjunction. Jupiter is very much associated with good fortune, abundance, expansion, meaning and faith.

On December 2nd, Jupiter began its journey through Capricorn. The warm, wet planet of good juju is covering the same ground that’s been thoroughly trod by Pluto, Saturn and the South node of the Moon (the spot where this eclipse happens). The influence of the latter three have emptied out, restructured and brought this territory down to bare bones.  

Wherever Capricorn falls in each of our natal charts determines what part of our lives has received this effect. While challenging, the transits of these planets along with Rahu (the South node) have prepared us to take responsibility for and savor what resources we do have. The grand entrance of Jupiter into Capricorn gets a proper activation on the 26th when the moon shares its light with the gas giant.
